Nicci HaynesPrintmaker / Mixed Media

Nicci first studied pharmacology in Wales in the mid 1980s and after a short career in research, and then a much longer period of other activities, came to Australia and the ANU School of Art. Since graduating from the Printmedia and Drawing Workshop in 2007 she has been exhibiting regularly. 

Her practice is varied including books, mechanical gadgets, sculptural objects, print and drawing. Nicci has received a number of awards for her work, winning the 2008 Swan Hill Drawing Prize, receiving honours from the 2010 Footprint International Print Competition in Connecticut, USA and had a number of sculptural books exhibited overseas. 

Nicci currently teaches etching at at ANU where she also acts as a technical officer.
