Timothy FosterDesigner / Woodworker / Photographer

Timothy Foster is a fine woodworker and designer.  His studio practise is founded on commission work that responds to people and the spaces they occupy.  Underpinned by years of industry experience and refined by studies at ANU School of Art Wood Workshop, this practise seeks to bring together an understanding of a client’s values and expectations, the knowledge of materials and the potential of these materials as a medium for expression.

         Collaborative work to design and make wooden component of the prize awarded to the

         winner of Canberra’s International Arboretum and Gardens Design Competition

         Research School of Biological Science, Australian National University 

         Design and make individually crafted wooden hand sculptures to be presented to each

         of the conference delegates

2003  St Patrick’s Cathedral – Parramatta

         Collaborated with Robin Blau, sculptor to make the curved structure of the Tabernacle
